Well, it didn’t snow here on Friday and Saturday night but we did wake up to white frost covering everything. I’ve built a roof above the Cupertino Krzich colony and also put an empty super above the top cover to give them dead air as insulation. That kept the frost off of the hive bodies and hopefully kept them a tad warmer. It was only 34F these past few nights.
Today, Sunday, it is now 53F and the colony is very active. See the video of the bee activity I just recorded off of my Flip SlideHD.
