Oak Tree Bees – Trapout

Went for a site check the other day in Los Altos. The house is being sold and there’s a valley oak tree in the backyard that has a bee colony living in the hollow. This bee rescue mission will be to save as many bees as possible using the trapout method. Due to size of the hole we will not be able to remove any comb/brood/queen from the colony.

At least three entrances to the hive. About 12 feet up and on a slope.
