Wax Moth

Noticing a lot of wax moths lately near or on the hives. Some standing near the entrance ready to sneak in while some are under telescoping covers or even under the bottom boards. If you see them crush them before they go into the hive and lay thousands of eggs. They will lay on the outer rim of a cover as well.

Here’s a horrible iPad2 photo of a wax moth standing motionless waiting for a chance to sneak into the hive. (Why did Apple put such a low resolution camera into the iPad2? 0.92 megapixels only!!!)
