Ariel’s Bees – Update

Ariel from Oakland sends an update on the hive he adopted last year. In August 2010 the hive he picked up from my place was small, about 4 frames drawn and about 4-5 frames of bees with a good amount of brood.

This past weekend was gorgeous with temps hitting the 70s and Ariel opened up the hive for an inspection. From the photo you can tell the bees have started to expand in drawing comb and in population. And as mentioned before, it’s always a good sign to see all the bees on top of the frames when you take off the cover. Thanks for the update. Hive is looking good!
