Went for a site check in Hillsborough this afternoon after delivering some fresh honey in Menlo Park. John, who rents his beautiful Hillsborough house out, calls me on Wednesday all the way from Hong Kong. He called and said that his tenant noticed some bees at the eve of the roof and would like the hive to be removed ASAP as it’s right above the entry of the front door, which is pretty high, two stories up.
Dad and I went to check out the situation today and only noticed two to three bees flying around. They weren’t going in and out like their family members were inside. My guess is that these are scouts and then brought back more scouts to check out their new possible home.
