Palo Alto Bee Removal – Site Check

Last weekend we went for a site check in Palo Alto. It was a colony about 20+ feet up in a huge oak tree. Check out the photo. I am not even sure where the main hive is. It could be in the hollow of the tree and they ran out of room and built externally, or they just build externally. Pretty amazing. This hive appear to have been there for a while. I’m suggesting to leave them there if it does not bother anyone. Also notice parts of the comb that was probably damaged at some point.
