Swarm Trap – First Inspection

It’s always a mystery on the swarm traps because you really don’t know how many bees have moved in. Sometimes it’s an after swarm with very little bees or sometimes it’s what my nephews like to say, “the motherload moved in.” And this is our first look into this hive. Very good first impressions. A lot of bees and appeared to have filled out the entire box already in 11 days!!!

And here’s our HUUUUUGE golden queen. You really can’t miss her. She has a beautiful golden body! A lot of brood of all phases, pollen, and honey. This hive is ready to be adopted.
