Bee Hive In Garbage Can – Sunnyvale Bee Relocation

We will go out of our way to rescue bees. We’ve taken out a hair dryer to dry wet bees, we’ve climbed trees to get swarms, relocated back breaking wine barrels full of bees, and last night we brought home an established colony of bees in a garbage can full of rotting compost. We relocated the 20 gallon garbage can in my yard and will wait until they re-orient themselves and then do a cutout and transfer them into hive boxes on a weekend we aren’t rescuing other bees.

Thanks Bonnie for calling us to save the bees!
