While we were just finishing up capturing the last swarm (previous blog post) in San Jose, we received a call from Asta. She had a swarm land on her lemon tree and her place was only 5 minutes away in Cupertino. So of course we stopped by after taking care of the swarm at Beatriz’s place.
Again, a nice size swarm and possibly larger than the one in San Jose but harder to hive. And as it got darker the bees got a little meaner. We managed to get them all and of course the queen too but it was completely dark, so it took a while to find the queen.
Two honeybee swarms rescued on the same day! 🙂
Thanks Asta for calling us to save our bees and donating towards our cause!!!
