Menlo Park Bee Removal – Saturday’s Last Swarm

Remember Friday’s tiny swarm on the ground? Well, Chris called Saturday afternoon and said the feral hive in the tree swarmed again and this time it landed on his rose bush, and the swarm cluster was larger than the tiny cluster on the ground. Since we were already in Menlo Park, just on the other side of 101, we swung by after helping Tulin with her hive. As we were about to place the bees in the box it started to rain hard! Good thing we were there and was able to finish or this swarm of bees would have been soaking wet or possibly worse. Because it was raining hard I didn’t get to take a picture. So here’s a picture of the box with the bees inside. 🙂 I also took pictures in the dark of the queen but it didn’t turn out.

Thanks again Chris for calling us to save another swarm of bees!
