California Golf Club Bee Swarm on Ground – San Bruno

Sunday we went up to San Bruno to save a swarm that clustered on the ground at the California Golf Club. The small bunch of bees were in the direct path of many golf carts and instead of just killing them Thomas who works the club decided to give us a call.

When we arrived we tossed all our gear onto a maintenance golf cart and headed out. We decided it was best to vacuum the bees in a public place. But even before we started my dad spots the queen bee digging its way through the cluster of bees. Caught the queen and did a little show and tell to the golfers at the driving range.

The original hive where the swarm came from was about 20 yards away and high up in a tree.

Thanks Thomas Bastis for calling us to save the honey bees!
